When we opened our office in NYC back in 2010 our approach was to go big or go home. As usual, our strategy was to underpromise and overdeliver, work hard, and do whatever it takes to make our clients successful and win the trust of the New York tech scene. For years now we get to work with some leading brands in creating new products or improving and optimizing the existing ones. Our goal is always to move the needle for the client, focus on exact and measurable success metrics, not rest and keep iterating and experimenting until we reach our targets.
In the last couple of years, we got an opportunity to work on even bigger challenges and projects with even more impact on end-users and businesses we work to create, optimize and scale.

We measure our success by client and user success metrics and Clutch continues to recognize our efforts year after year since we’ve joined their research in 2017.

Clutch is a legitimate business review platform that collects insights from past clients and then provides business tips to potential buyers so that they know how to make the most out of their engagement with a service provider. What really sets Clutch apart from other reviews and ratings platforms is that they rank service providers based on verified client feedback, providing potential buyers with a transparent and unbiased perspective.

#2 app developer in the Big Apple

Of 480 firms, Clutch lists Five as the #2 app developer in New York — and we’re very appreciative of the nearly 30 clients who have left reviews for us on Clutch, because we know we wouldn’t have been able to achieve this prestigious ranking without them!

Our most recent review came from Marriott International, a well-known multinational hotel and hospitality company. Their Associate Wellbeing team needed help creating a digital holistic wellbeing challenge for more than 500,000 Marriott associates around the world. They’d done such campaigns in past years, but they’d never taken it digital — and they turned to us to make it happen.

Our team designed and developed a mobile app for iOS and Android to host Marriott’s wellbeing campaign. We created a live leaderboard so that associates could compete to collect points and compare their standings.

Bringing client’s vision to life

The end result was incredibly well-received; Marriott associates found the app user-friendly, and they particularly liked the leaderboard we built out. The client commended our ability to take their vision and bring it to life. They also appreciated how receptive we were to feedback, as well as our diligence in keeping them updated throughout the process.

“They really have a knack for thinking through how a person would interact with the app. Five provided a level of insight that was invaluable. Their team understands how people use technology, especially given our global audience.” — Director of Associate Wellbeing, Marriott International

Marriott was so pleased with the app that they signed another contract with us to update the app and make changes for next year’s wellbeing challenge! We’ve worked with Marriott International on other projects, including developing the hospitality industry’s first virtual assistant for millennial job seekers — check that project out here.
